In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Randophonic is a radio program that airs pretty much every Saturday night starting at 11pm (Pacific time) on CiTR.FM.101.9. You can read more about all that here.
Randophonic radio is currently in hiatus, sort of. We’re still broadcasting most weeks, but most of our energies are focused behind the scenes right now on what’s going to happen next.
If you’re worried about what’s going on with The Final Countdown* (498 down, 799 to go) – that’s part of what happens next.

Hi Philip, I found your question about a countdown in Word2003 that was posted aeons ago.
I was trying to find a workaround for it too, and I guess you’ve done it but I found an easy way to do it.
I started with the highest number in excel (eg. a1 = 27), and then using the autosum in the cell underneath it, put in the value of =SUMME(A1)-1 (German OS.)
Then I copied that second cell and its value underneath a few times, selected and copied until I got to the value ‘0’.
Then, just copied and pasted into a table in Word.
Simples!

thanks, Rob — I will add this wisdom to my files, because some fixes don’t always work.
